Because the elevator at the Butler Area Public Library is temporarily out of commission, the Butler County Genealogical Society will hold this month’s meeting at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 365 Sawmill Run Road, Butler.

The program presented by Steve Cicero, former history teacher, will feature stories behind the names of streets, roads, sports arenas, rivers and other common names, including Bessemer Avenue, William Flinn Highway and the Allegheny River.

Members and nonmembers are invited.

Out of respect for the venue, no coffee or smoking will be permitted anywhere on the property.
