JEFFERSON TWP — HIS Kids Christian School, 650 Saxonburg Road, will have open houses from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 9 and from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 10 and 12 for families who are considering enrolling their children for the 2015-2016 school year.

HIS Kids offers classes from preschool to sixth grade. Kindergarten is a full-day program. Busing is available for elementary students from Butler, Mars, South Butler, Freeport and Karns City school districts. Scholarships are also available.

ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Public Library, 227 S. High St., will have Wacky Wednesday at 4 p.m. Feb. 4.It will be “Cans” Film Festival Night. Take a nonperishable food donation for the local food cupboard and stay to watch a movie. Popcorn will be provided.On Feb. 5, the library also will host “Pages and Paws.” People of all ages and abilities are welcome to practice their reading with certified therapy dogs.Both programs are free and registration is not required.For more information, call the library at 724-452-9330.

CRANBERRY TWP — Susan Evans, author of “Don't Write the Obituary Yet” in collaboration with Dr. Thomas C.
