BUFFALO TWP — Sye Lynch took the lead from Bob Felmlee on the eighth lap and won the 30-lap 410 Sprint feature Friday night during the annual Sprint Car Spectacular at Lernerville Speedway.

Lynch started the race from the fourth spot. Runner-up Carl Bowser and Felmlee started up front.

Tim Shaffer started 12th, but maneuvered into the top five with plenty of laps remaining. Shaffer took the lead from Lynch on Lap 28, but was spun out between turns 3 and 4 moments later as Lynch tried to duck underneath him.

Shaffer got his car straightened out, but as the caution car, was sent to the tail. That cleared the way for Lynch to take the $4,000 winner’s check.

“More money on the line, that’s what brought Shaffer to town, and I look up to him as a driver,” Lynch said in victory lane. “We raced hard, misjudgment there and I own up to it.”

Chad Ruhlman won the RUSH Sprint Cars feature Friday, his second win of the season at Lernerville. It was his 32nd career win in the series.

Greg Dobrosky won the Allegheny Sprint Tour 305 feature, his seventh career triumph at the Sarver oval.

There were 57 cars in the pits.
