Alda M. McClymonds
Alda M. McClymonds, 81, of E. Portersville Road, Portersville, Muddy Creek Township, died unexpectedly Sunday at her home.
Born Oct. 22, 1928, in Portersville, she was the daughter of the late William and Marian Cleland Weller. She was married to the late Norman McClymonds, who passed away in 1984.
Alda was an active member and custodian of the Portersville Bible Church.
She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1946. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening and being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include eight children, Jane (Cal) Chronister of Portage, Ind., Henry McClymonds and William McClymonds, both of Ellwood City, Donald McClymonds, Richard McClymonds, Melody McClymonds and Dorothy McClymonds, all of Portersville, and Ruth McClymonds of Oak Park, Calif.; a brother, David (Nickie) Weller of Portersville; three sisters; Lois (Ray) Bauder and Mary Barr, both of Portersville, and Edie (Jerry) Riffe of San Diego, Calif.; five grandchildren, Randy, Bruce and Derek McClymonds, Jennifer (Kevin) Robertson, and Stacy (Andy) Vecillio; five great-grandchildren, Kadin, Logan, Micah, Noah, and Isiah; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis, and a sister, Jean Brenneman.
<B>McClymonds</B> — Visiting hours for Alda M. McClymonds, who died Sunday June 20, 2010, will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday at the <B>Marshall Funeral Home</B>, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City. A visitation also will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Portersville Bible Church with Pastor Mike Charles officiating.
