Class of '69 to hold reunion meeting

HERMAN — St. Mary of the Assumption will hold its annual picnic from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at 821 Herman Road. Ham or grilled chicken dinners will be served. Bingo, a Chinese auction and games for all ages will be included.A free shuttle bus will take guests from the Herman Volunteer Firehall parking lot to the picnic.
WESTSUNBURY— The Moniteau Quilt Group will hold its second quilt show from 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 8 at the West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church, 215 Church St., during the Peach Festival.Those who would like to show a quilt are asked to call Sue Carothers at 724-637-2312.
GLADEMILLS — Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church will hold its annual church bazaar from 1 to 9 p.m. Aug. 10 at the church and parish school grounds one-quarter mile north of the intersection of Routes 8 and 228 east, near H.P. Starr Lumber.A flea market will be open at 8 a.m. A chicken and ham dinner will be served from noon to 6 p.m. Takeout also is available.The event also will include bingo, games, a "Kid's World," prizes, a bake sale, farmer's market, Chinese raffle, blood pressure screenings and more.Also included will be the Diaper Derby at 1:30 p.m. for crawling babies to race on a soft mat. HARMONY — The Harmony Museum will hold its fourth annual antique firearms show and sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 9 at the museum's Stewart Hall. The show's emphasis will be on 18th and 19th century guns and accessories made in the Western Pennsylvania-Eastern Ohio region.Visitors may take items from their collections to learn about them and obtain informal values from exhibitors. The YWCA of Butler will hold a Granny's Attic rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at 120 Cunningham St.Clothing, furniture, dishes, toys and miscellaneous items will be available. Donations are needed and are tax deductible. Donations may be left in the YWCAlobby.
