The American Red Cross Southwestern Pennsylvania chapter will offer the following courses at a discount in March in honor of American Red Cross Month. The training center is at 312 Mercer St.

• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 6, baby-sitter training

• 6 to 9:30 p.m. March 9 and 10 — standard first-aid with CPR/AED

• 6 to 9:30 p.m. March 10, first-aid

• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 20, adult CPR/AED with child and infant CPR

• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 20, community first-aid and safety, and adult CPR/AED with child and infant CPR

• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 27, CPR/AED for the professional rescuer

HARMONY — A flea market will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 6 in the Harmony Museum's Stewart Hall, 218 Mercer St., to benefit museum operations. Lunch will be available. Information and table reservations are available at 724-452-5860.

Entries for the 18th annual African American History essay contest must be postmarked by March 12. Students ages 6 to 18 are eligible. The Tanglewood Center will sponsor a trip Wednesday to Wheeling Island Casino and an April 7 trip to Presque Isle Downs and Casino.
