Bernice F. "Bernie"Stewart, 80, of Hilliards died at 6:58 a.m. Thursday at UPMCPresbyterian.

Born July 28, 1926, in Kennerdell, she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Andre McDaniel.

She attended the Ridgeville Methodist Church, and was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, baking and crocheting.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gary (Mary) Stoops of Grove City, Mrs. Michael (Linda)Eiler of Petrolia, and Mrs. Richard (Sally A.) Fink of Hilliards; four sons, RonaldL., and Terry L. Stewart, both of Hilliards, Larry S. Stewart of Slippery Rock, and Donald E. Stewart of West Sunbury; 14 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lyla Swonger of Middelfield, Ohio, and Florence Dunn of Clintonville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Stewart, who died Feb. 28, 1998, two sisters, and six brothers.

"Bernie"Stewart, who died Thursday, March 22, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Mahaffey of North Liberty Presbyterian Church, officiating.Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
