Dekland Jude Coburn

Born: July 12, 2012

Son of: Dakota Martinez and Joshua Coburn, both of Butler.

Reason he’s named Dekland Jude:

“I knew I wanted to give him a unique name, because I had grown to love the uniqueness of my own.

“The letter D is a tradition in my family, so that became my starting point.

“After looking at lots of names, I became fond of the name Declan.

“In order to make it less traditional I changed the C to a K.

“I also wanted to commemorate my grandmother so I added a D on the end to form land, making it a play off of a masculine form of Linda. His middle name is Jude after Saint Jude.

“I also wanted his initials to be DJ after his parents, Dakota and Joshua.”
