Artists are now being sought for the second annual Age of Aquarius Art and Music Festival to be held from Jan. 27 to Feb. 24.

All work must be original, suitable for viewing by families and represent the 1960s.

Cost to enter is $30 for one or two pieces. More than $5,000 in cash prizes will be awarded.

Entry forms are available on the show's Web site, www.ageofaquarius.org, or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to The Art Center, P.O. Box 245, Butler, PA 16001. Deadline for entries is Jan. 11.

HARMONY — Historic Harmony will accept written nominations until Dec. 31 for Heritage Awards to be presented at its annual Harmoniefest Dinner Feb. 11 at the Harmony Museum. The award program recognizes preservation, restoration and renovation of buildings and sites, as well as efforts that encourage appreciation for local history.Preservation/restoration/renovation nominations should describe what makes the project worthy of recognition, with appropriateness of design and materials used a critical consideration. Include the site's street address, the name of its owner, and the owner's address (if different) and phone number.Local history nominations must identify the individual or organization involved and describe the significance of the activity. Include the nominee's address and phone number.Each nomination should also include the name, address and phone number of the person submitting it. The Butler County Chapter of the American Red Cross will host a standard first aid, with automated external defibrillator, training course Jan. 7 and 8, and Feb. 1 and 2.The course teaches adult CPR, AED, and basic first aid skills.The cost is $40. Community Health Challenge of Southwestern Pennsylvania is offering a free program to help people stop using tobacco.The health challenge, along with Adagio Health's Butler County Tobacco Prevention and Control Program, is offering SmokeStoppers, a group program to help people gain the strength and reinforcement they need to quit using tobacco products.Starting at 7 p.m. Jan. 4, the group will hold eight sessions at Butler Memorial Hospital in classroom 5.The classes, which also meet Jan. 9 through 12, 17, 19 and 24, are free.For more information of the SmokeStoppers program, call Community Health Challenge at 724-283-9955.
