• The 2010-11 Performing Arts Series will feature "A Midsummer Night's Dream" presented by The National Players at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Succop Theater on campus.

• BC3's Mary Hulton Phillips Gallery is presenting the art show "Drawings and Paintings" by David Ludwick, an area artist and teacher known for his impressionistic landscape paintings and pastel drawings, in the gallery in the Science, Technology and Cultural Center Building adjacent to the Succop Theater.

The exhibit continues through Nov. 22. The gallery is open during Succop Theater performances. For a list, visit www.bc3.edu/theater. The universally renowned Ailey II dance company will perform at 7:30 p.m. today in Miller Auditorium as part of SRU's Performing Arts Series.The troupe is primarily known for its ability to merge the spirit and energy of young dancers with the passion and creative vision of today's outstanding emerging choreographers.Tickets are range from $8 to $20. The Grove City College Symphony Orchestra will present its first concert of the academic year at 8 p.m. today in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus.The performance is free and open to the public; no tickets are required.University of PittsburghPerformance of "Emily Dickinson: The Poet Lights the Lamp," a solo performance compiled and performed by Yvonne Hudson, will take place at 4 and 6 p.m. Saturday in the English Nationality Room, 144 Cathedral of Learning, first floor, in Oakland.Tickets are $10 for general admission, $7 for Pitt faculty and staff and $5 for all students and senior citizens age 60 and older.
