Slippery Rock University• Gloria Rolando, an award-winning Cuban documentary filmmaker, will visit Slippery Rock University today and Friday. She will screen and discuss her film “Raices de Mi Corazon/Roots of My Heart,” at 7 p.m. today in the Smith Student Center Theater. The presentation at 3 p.m. Friday in 111 Spotts World Culture Building will be a screening and discussion of her 2014 film “Reembarque/Re-embark.”• Fiber art created by SRU students and faculty and their counterparts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland, will be displayed Monday through Nov. 21 in the “Experiment” exhibit in SRU’s Martha Gault Art Gallery. The opening reception is 7 p.m. Monday. Exhibit hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays.• The yearlong history series on the 100th anniversary of World War I features 24 patriotic posters displayed on the third floor of Bailey Library.
