Donald Rumbaugh
Donald E. Rumbaugh, 86, of Butler passed away Saturday at the VNA Hospice.
He was born Feb. 22, 1930, in Brackenridge, the son of the late John J. Rumbaugh and Helen (Stewart) Rumbaugh.
Don was a member of the Muddy Creek United Presbyterian Church, VFW Post 249, Moose Lodge 64 and the Moraine Hunting and Fishing Club. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and bicycling.
Don retired from Armco from the pipe shop after 32 years of service. He was a Navy veteran, having served for nine years during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Emma J. (Fleeger) Rumbaugh, whom he married May 27, 1961; his daughter, Deborah (William) Scheckler of Shippenville; two grandchildren, William Richard Scheckler Jr. and Mikayla D. Scheckler; his stepsister, Delores Long of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, “Jack” Rumbaugh.
RUMBAUGH — Friends of Donald E. Rumbaugh, who died Saturday, July 2, 2016, will be received from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Rev.
