Stacey Curran, D.O., has been appointed to the medical staff at Butler Memorial Hospital and has joined Butler Family Practice.

Dr. Curran comes to the hospital from Absolute Primary Care in Cranberry Township, according to a news release from the hospital.

Dr. Curran received her bachelor of science degree from Penn State University and her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After her internship and family practice residency, both at the Medical Center in Beaver, Dr. Curran completed a sports medicine fellowship at Saint Vincent Health System in Erie.

Board certified in family practice and sports medicine, she is a member of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, the American College of Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Sports Medicine.

An avid athlete, Dr. Curran was a physician at the Erie Marathon and the Erie Triathlon.

CRANBERRY TWP — The Open MRI at Butler Health System Wholehealth in the Rose E. Schneider YMCA has received a three-year accreditation from the American College of Radiology.Wholehealth is a Butler Memorial Hospital outpatient site.Accreditation is achieved through tests of the MRI's accuracy and consistent image quality as well as verification that radiologists and technologists are certified to operate the machine.
