5 teens found, but authorities continue search for other 3 involved in car heist
ADAMS TWP — Four of the teenagers from the Mars Home for Youth involved in the Wednesday morning theft of a sedan from a limousine service were caught later that night by Pittsburgh police.
Adams Township Police Chief Bill Westerman said this morning that four girls were found near the stolen Cadillac in the North Side of Pittsburgh.
“The car was recovered,” he said.
He said one of the boys who fled in the car eventually returned to his house before being taken back to the Mars Home by his mother.
Interviewed by township police, the boy disclosed the eight-person group ended up in the North Side.
Authorities still are searching for two boys and a girl. Westerman said they are likely in the vicinity of where the other youths were found.
Township police were not told whether the car was damaged. A Pittsburgh police spokesperson could not be reached for comment.
