Henry James Bowlden, 90, of Butler, formerly of Monroeville, passed away Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Born April 5, 1925, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, he was a son of the late James and Lillian (Callaghan) Bowlden.

He retired from Westinghouse Research and Development as an advisory scientist in April of 1990, following 27 years service.

Surviving are his wife, Rusty (Agnes Stringer) Bowlden, whom he married Aug. 28, 1948; his son, Peter (Faith) Bowlden of Butler; his daughter, Sara Bowlden of Butler; and two granddaughters, Jennifer and Marjorie Bowlden.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
