John Lester Elliott, 61, of Butler passed away Wednesday at his home.

He was born Sept. 14, 1951, in Butler. He was the son of John A. Elliott of Butler and the late Marjorie (Berry) Elliott.

John was the owner of Elliott’s Auto Group. He had previously owned Elliott’s Log Homes and was a Merchant Mariner boat captain. He loved working on his Corvette and boating. John also was a member of the National Guard.

Surviving are his wife, Renee (Wolf) Elliott of Butler; his father; a daughter, Monica Reinhart of Cranberry Township; a son, Ben Elliott of Butler; two grandchildren, Madeline and Jack; a brother, Wayne D. Elliott of Slippery Rock; and an uncle, Lester Elliott of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie A. (Berry) Elliott and a brother, Ray T. Elliott.

ELLIOTT — Friends of John Lester Elliott, who passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Services will be at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday.
