Weiland

Vivian M. Weiland, 73, of Chicora died at 2 p.m. Monday at her home after a short illness.

Mrs. Weiland was born in Karns City, Nov. 5, 1933, the daughter of John and Ethel Blystone Wise.

She was a 1952 graduate of Chicora High School.

She worked for 13 years at Magnetics in East Butler and then 22 years at Montgomery Ward in Butler until her retirement.

She attended the First United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed traveling, camping, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, William J. Weiland, to whom she was married July 18, 1959; two sons Eric Weiland and his wife, Kathleen, of Chicora and Brian Weiland and his wife, Marcy, of Fenelton; three granddaughters, twins Sara and Stephanie Weiland and Hannah Weiland; two sisters Dolores Radaker of South Carolina and Mrs. Ronald (Sandy) Kradel of Chicora.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Marian Elisabeth Wise.

<B>Weiland</B> — Friends of Vivian M. Weiland, who died Monday, Sept 3, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Steighner Funeral Home</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev.William Gumpper, her church pastor, officiating. Burial will be private.
