Arseni Grokhovski and Oliver Horrigan scored four goals each Sunday to lead the Slippery Rock University men'' water polo team to a 10-8 victory over host Salem in the final of the Division II Eastern Championships.

The win was SRU's 15th consecutive triumph.

The Rock (20-3) outscored Salem 3-1 in the third period to pull out the win.

Glenn Reepmeyer made 14 saves and added a steal in net. He was named the tournament's MVP after making 45 saves in three games.

SRU also defeated Gannon 11-6 in the first round Saturday morning and followed up with a 12-5 win over Mercyhurst in the second round Saturday evening.

Grokhovski added six total goals in those two games.

Grove City College captured the Presidents' Athletic Conference title with 54 points, easily outdistancing runner-up Waynesburg College (30) by winning all six singles divisions and all three doubles divisions.Leading the way was sophomore Kristin McNally, who won the No. 1 singles championship 7-5, 6-3 over Waynesburg's Mindy Hall. McNally was named PAC Player of the Year. Wolverines coach Cathy Jacobs was named PAC Coach of the Year.McNally also won the No. 2 doubles finals with Lindsay Hosler.

Grove City's Ken Roudybush scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter and Brandon McCall's extra point made the difference as the Wolverines defeated Waynesburg College 7-6 Saturday.Waynesburg scored on a Ryan Abels 78-yard run in the first quarter, but the extra point attempt by Ben Popson was blocked. Abels finished the game with 125 yards on 16 carries.
