VERONA — Joe Boros of Treesdale Golf & Country Club and John Aubrey of Aubrey’s Dubbs Dred each fired a par 71 to tie for fourth place at the Taylor Made/Adidas Classic Monday at Green Oaks Country Club.

Bob Ford of Oakmont Country Club carded a 3-under 68 to win the event.

Dennis Munko of Birdsfoot Golf Club tied for 21st (75), Jody Barrett of Cranberry Highlands Golf Course tied for 29th (76), Denny Dolci of St. Jude Golf Club tied for 43rd (78), Shawn McCall of Cranberry Highlands tied for 49th (79), Jimmy Brahm of Butler Country Club tied for 52nd (80) and Rob McClellan of Butler Country Club tied for 55th (81).

CINCINNATI — The Pirates added infielder Chase d'Arnaud and right-hander Bryan Morris before Monday's game at Cincinnati, both of whom spent time with Pittsburgh earlier in the season but didn't appear in a game. D'Arnaud batted .252 with six homers and 38 RBIs in 98 games with Triple-A Indianapolis. Morris went 2-2 with a 2.67 earned run average in 46 relief appearances for Indianapolis, getting five saves.Pittsburgh also called up right-hander Rick VandenHurk from Indianapolis. He spent the entire season in the minors and went 13-5 with a 2.92 ERA in 21 games, including 19 starts.

HOUSTON — Astros owner Jim Crane says there's a possibility 50-year-old Roger Clemens could pitch for Houston this season.Crane says he would not pitch him against a contender, which leaves this week as the only option.

SAN DIEGO — Lance Berkman is scheduled for season-ending surgery on his troublesome right knee Tuesday, leaving the St. Louis Cardinals without a dangerous bat as they try to secure a playoff spot.
