Edward Heeter Sr.

Edward M. Heeter Sr., 68, of Sarver passed away at 9:25 a.m. Friday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice

He was born Oct. 3, 1945, in Kaylor, the son of the late Arthur Heeter and Hannah (Grantz) Heeter.

He had been a welder at Penreco, worked at Veterans Affairs Outreach and had been a guard at Butler Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran of U.S. Army, having served in the Vietnam War.

Surviving are three sons, Edward J. (Beverly) Heeter Jr. of Templeton, Dale W. (Christina) Heeter of Kennerdale and John A. Heeter of Ellwood City; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Doris (Chuck) Maurhoff of Bruin, Mary (Dick) Gamble of Karns City and Betty (Clarence) Pennington of Tennessee; and several stepbrothers and stepsisters.

HEETER — Services for Edward M. Heeter Sr., who died Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, will be held at the Butler County Memorial Park, 380 Evans City Road, Butler, at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Curt McDaniel officiating and military honors by the American Legion Post 488 of Bradys Bend, the Chicora American Legion and the VFW.Arrangements were handled by the YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, Butler.
