Lois M. Acquaviva
Lois M. Schubert Acquaviva L.S.W., 70, of Harbison Road in Valencia died Sunday at her residence of natural causes.
Born July 23, 1937, in Butler she was a daughter of Randall R. and Mary Leinenbach Schubert.
Lois earned her bachelor's degree in liberal arts in 1961 from Mount Mercy College. She completed her Master's Degree in social work (M.S.W.) in 1967 at the University of Pittsburgh.
She was a licensed social worker (L.S.W.).
She worked as a public welfare administrator and was the district director of the Eastern District in East Liberty for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. She was employed by the Department of Public Welfare from 1963 until her retirement.
Mrs. Acquaviva was a member of the Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills.
She is survived by her husband, Michael A. Acquaviva, whom she married Nov. 24, 1960; a daughter, Michele M. Acquaviva, at home in Valencia, two brothers, Roland P. and Stanley R. Schubert, both of Butler.; a sister, Mrs. J. Robert (Joan) Taylor of Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother preceded her in death.

Schubert Acquaviva, who died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Daniel Maurer, officiating.
