Rachel and Kalyn Rice

Rachel Bauer and Kalyn Rice, both of Butler, were united in marriage Aug. 10 at Wrightsville Beach, N.C. The Rev. Penelope Morningstar officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Keith and Paula Bauer of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Keith and Laurie Rice of Butler.

The honor attendant was Michelle Atkinson of Butler.

Performing the duties of best man was Philip Slater of New Castle.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Butler High School and a 2007 graduate of Clarion University. She is employed as a teacher by South Butler School District.

The bridegroom graduated in 2002 from Butler High School. He is employed by Shields Asphalt Paving.

The couple is making their home in Butler.
