Oviatt, Cox
Christine Oviatt of Slippery Rock and Adam Cox of Monongahela were united in marriage Sept. 25 on the beach in the Outer Banks, N.C. The Rev. Jay Boloman officiated. A reception followed Oct. 24 at the Carroll Township American Legion.
The bride is the daughter of Jeffery and Brenda Oviatt of Slippery Rock. Parents of the bridegroom are Walter and Beth Cox of Monongahela.
The honor attendant was Sara Williams of Beaver.
Performing the duties of best man was Aaron Cox of Monongahela.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and a 2007 graduate of Clarion University. She is employed by Elisco Advertising in Pittsburgh. She is earning her master's degree in integrated marketing from West Virginia University.
The bridegroom graduated in 2003 from Ringgold High School and in 2008 from California (Pa.) University. He is employed by Peak Security in Pittsburgh and is a sergeant in the Marine Reserves.
The couple is making their home in Monongahela.
