Meridian wins debut
Justin Rickert and Zach Kozlowsjki both had a double, single, RBI and two runs scored Tuesday as Meridian opened the Butler County legion baseball season with an 8-5 win over Cranberry.
Colin Piroch doubled and singled, Grant Clawson had two singles and Joel Stutz a triple for Meridian.
Kozlowski got the win in relief of starting pitcher Clawson, who worked five innings.
