Hoover, Behrens
Courtney Hoover and Joseph Behrens, both of Butler, were united in marriage July 24 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora. The Rev. James Higgins officiated. A reception followed at the Atrium in Prospect.
The bride is the daughter of David Hoover of Butler and Marjorie Slater of Chicora. Parents of the bridegroom are Scott and Theresa Behrens of Chicora.
The matron of honor was Brianna Leyland of Butler. Bridesmaids were Erin Stonebraker of Fredericksburg, Va., Stephanie Douglass of East Brady, Karissa Dominick of South Euclid, Ohio, Lisa McKinsey of Butler and Nichole Geibel of North Ridgeville, Ohio. Junior bridesmaids were Kailyn Behrens of Butler and Chloe Geibel of North Ridgeville, Ohio. Flower girl was Madalyn Geibel of North Ridgeville, Ohio.
Performing the duties of best man was Josh Behrens of Chicora. Ushers were Colin Leyland of Butler, Tom Reese of Butler, Dave Dressing of Butler, Barry Kemper of Irwin and Jason Geibel of North Ridgeville, Ohio. Junior groomsman was Marcus Lantz.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Karns City High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She is employed by the Butler School District.
The bridegroom graduated in 1998 from Karns City High School. He is employed by Allegheny Ludlum in Brackenridge.
Following a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is making their home in Butler.
