RIMERSBURG, Clarion County — The Union School District has received a $5,000 grant from the Highmark Foundation to promote health and wellness by creating a healthy school environment.
The high school was awarded a grant for a program for the physical education department entitled “U Fit.” It will provide funding for additional gym equipment to expand class curriculum.
Last year, the school got a two-year grant for the Presidential Youth Fitness Program, improving curriculum in gym classes from kindergarten through 12th grades.
