ZELIENOPLE — Matthew McCormick of Harmony was advanced to master mason after receiving the third degree in Freemasonry at Harmony Lodge No. 429, Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania.
McCormick's conferring officer was Alan Duncan of Zelienople. Timothy Evans of Cranberry Township, master of the lodge, praised McCormick for achieving full lodge membership. He is one of nearly 1,800 masons in Butler County.
BUTLER TWP — Shoe Sensation at Clearview Mall presented the Salvation Army's Project Bundle Up with money collected from a one-week in-store campaign to collect donations for the project.Amy Tebay, administrative assistant of Butler Salvation Army accepted the donations from Kari Cousins, back up assistant manager.During the campaign, customers donating $1 or more received a discount on their purchases.Salvation Army-Project Bundle Up is a nonprofit organization. The donations will help provide new outerwear for underprivileged children and seniors across the region.
