Nathan and Julie Burtner

Julie Bemben of Butler and Nathan Burtner of Prospect were united in marriage Feb. 11 at First United Methodist Church in Butler. The Rev. Tom Holman officiated. A reception followed at the The Epworth Center-First United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of David Bemben of Butler and the late Rebecca Henry. Parents of the bridegroom are Bruce and Susan Burtner of Butler.

The honor attendant was Brooke McDeavitt of Butler.

Performing the duties of best man was Timothy McDeavitt Jr. of Butler. Ushers included Isaac McKeever and Andrew Manfred, both of Butler.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Butler High School and a 2007 graduate of Indiana (Pa.) University.

She is employed by VA Butler Healthcare in Butler.

The bridegroom graduated from Knoch High School in 2002 and Edinboro University in 2006.

He is employed by Frew Mill School in New Castle.

Following a honeymoon trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple is making their home in Prospect.
