SV hires assistant principal
JACKSON TWP — The Seneca Valley School Board Monday night hired a new assistant principal for Haine Elementary School in Cranberry Township.
The board hired Kristen Salina, a Butler resident who previously served as the principal of the Clarence Brown Community School for seven years.
The district will pay Salina $79,000 per year. She replaces Mandy Toy, who was named principal at Haine last year.
Salina also has experience as a learning support teacher and an emotional support coordinator at the Knoch middle and high schools.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in special education from Slippery Rock University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Carlow College.
