Richard J. Cullen

Richard J. Cullen, 64, of Cranberry Township died unexpectedly Saturday morning at his home.

Born on Dec. 26, 1948, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Joseph R. Cullen of Franklin Park and the late Bernadette Micklos Cullen.

Richard was a microbiologist for Quest Diagnostics in Greentree. He also had owned C.W. Garden Center and Bakery in Allison Park.

A member of the Grace Community Church in Cranberry Township, he was an animal lover and a breeder of golden retrievers. He enjoyed gardening, skiing, golfing and baking. He especially loved sunshine and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Kimberlee Cullen, who he married on Sept. 24, 1994, his children, Brady, McKenzie and Brant Cullen, all at home; his stepdaughter, Ashleigh Wisniewski (Mike) of Harmony; his grandchildren, Mayleigh and Kezrin Wisniewski; his father, Joseph R. Cullen of Franklin Park; his sisters, Colleen O'Donnell (Jim) of Valencia and Megan Kratz (Kevin) of Cranberry Township; his brothers, Joseph P. Cullen (Janis) of Gibsonia and Daniel M. Cullen (Mary Lee) of Iowa, and many nieces and nephews.

CULLEN — The friends of Richard J. Cullen, who died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The services will be at the Grace Community Church, 9160 Marshall Road, Cranberry Township at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Bob Zonts, family pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Warrendale, Pa.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for the establishment of an education fund for his children.Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
