Helen L. Staggers
Helen L. (Rape) Staggers, 94, of Ellwood City passed away Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley in Beaver.
Born Sept. 19, 1921, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (Neely) Rape.
Helen was a longtime member of St. Peter's Reformed Church in Zelienople and a former member of Calvin Presbyterian Church in Zelienople. She was also a member of the Zelienople American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Helen was an extremely talented seamstress who had the pleasure of making prom gowns for her daughters and Barbie doll clothing for her granddaughters. She also enjoyed crafting angel tree toppers and soft sculpture dolls. During her free time, Helen loved traveling to Florida and hosting her card club friends. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her three daughters, Betty Lee Milsom and her husband, John, of Ellwood City, Karen Lash of Ellwood City and Lori Campbell and her husband, Dan, of Ellwood City; her daughter-in-law, Debra Wilson of Harmony; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Laverne Wilson; her second husband, Clarence “Burt” Staggers; her son, Richard L. “Dick” Wilson; her granddaughter, Marcy Buzard; her three brothers, Raymond Rape, Ralph Rape and K. Burnett Rape; and her three sisters, Alberta Krestel, Ethel Black and Jean Thompson.
STAGGERS — The family of Helen L. (Rape) Staggers, who died Saturday, June 4, 2016, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E.
