Patrick Dixon Moore, 73, of Butler died Saturday at VA Butler Healthcare.

Born Feb. 1, 1940, in Woodlawn, Ill., he was a son of the late Robert Leonard Moore and Adelia (Dixon) Moore.

He was a former councilman of Wells, Nev., worked for its police department, drove for its ambulance company and had planned and organized the Wells Rodeo. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper, but most of all had loved to golf, as he was a member of Aubrey's Golf Course in Butler.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Marlene LaVerne Nowikowski Moore, who he married on May 15, 2003; his stepson, William (DeAnna) Blust Jr. of Butler; his two sisters, Mary Beth (Dave Jones) Flegel of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Becky (James) Hansen of Rockland, Calif.; his two brothers, Fred (Nancy) Flegel of Loon Lake, Wash., and Franklin Delano Moore, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Andrew Moore.
