Ballard 50th anniversary
Richard J. and Rosemary L. Ballard Sr. of Renfrew celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner June 6 at the home of their daughter in Renfrew.
Ballard married the former Rosemary King on June 6, 1970, at Faith Community Church in Penn Hills.
They have two children, Richard J. Ballard Jr. of Clintonville and Melissa A. Shiever of Renfrew.
They also have four grandchildren, Nikki and Alec Ballard and Andrew and Alaina Shiever.
He is a retired owner/operator truck driver and finished his career at Vogel Disposal in 2009.
He is a United States Army Vietnam War veteran serving three years with the rank of Sergeant E-5.
She is a homemaker, caregiver to parents, and was a certified nursing assistant at Butler Memorial Hospital for 15 years in geriatric psychiatry.
The Ballards are members of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
