Golf outing raises $1,800 for breast cancer patients

Slippery Rock Golf Club and Events Center's staff presented an $1,800 donation Oct. 26 to Stacy Meyer of Independence Health System.
The center’s second annual “Woman Fore the Cure” Golf Scramble on Aug. 27 helped raise the funds for women going through breast cancer.
The Independence Health System/BHS Foundation raises money to assist cancer patients going through treatment with such needs as transportation, utilities, physician visit co-pays, wigs and more.
