JADEN DAVINSIZER (Seneca Valley) sank three treys for nine points in Grove CIty’s season-opening 74-45 women’s basketball loss to Mary Washington.
DAVID BOCCI (Butler), a member of the Clarion University men’s swim team, joined Connor Cary, Henry Miller and Austin Prokpec in setting the Clarion pool record in the 400-meter medley relay with a time of 3 minutes, 26.96 seconds. Bocci also won the 200 butterfly and 200 backstroke in the Golden Eagles’ dual meet win over Bloomsburg.
DOMINIKA LOGUE (Union) sank a pair of treys in Clarion’s 93-83 women’s basketball loss to Notre Dame (Ohio).
NATALIE MERRICK (Seneca Valley) scored Grove City’s lone goal in a 5-1 NCAA DIvision III women’s soccer payoff loss to Case Western Reserve.
COURTNEY LISMAN (Mars) made 10 saves in goal for Grove City in its women’s soccer playoff loss.
TIM PATTERSON (Butler), a cross country runner for Saint Vincent, placed ninth overall out of 212 runners with a time of 24:50 at the Mid-Atlantic Region Championships. He earned an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III National Championships this week.
ETHAN WYMER (Knoch), also a cross country runner for Saint Vincent, placed 26th in 25:32 at the Mid-Atlantic Regional. His time was a lifetime personal record. Wymer and Patterson both earned all-region honors.
CONNOR LYCZEK (Seneca Valley) had five tackles and a quarterback sack in Clarion’s 34-7 football loss to West Chester.
ALAYNA CHIZMAR (Mars) had five kills and tywo blocks in Slippery Rock’s 3-1 season-ending women’s volleyball vicvtory over Pitt-Johnstown.
EMMA PLANK (Slippery Rock/Portersville Christian) teamed with Sadie Shofestall, Sarah Kuchma and Jamie Durstein to win the 200-meter free relay for Grove City in a dual meet win over Saint Vincent.
MASON BUSH (Seneca Valley) scored 11 points for Penn State Altoona in a 111-66 men’s basketball loss fo Heidelberg.
ALEJANDRO HERRERA-RONDON (Seneca Valley) scored a 15-0 technical fall win over American’s Kaden Millheim during Clarion’s 21-18 wrestling loss.He also scored an 18-1 technical fall of The Citadel’s Thomas Snipes in another dual match. Herrera-Rondon wrestles at 157 pounds.
