Library will mark 10th anniversaryEVANS CITY — The Evans City Library, 204 S. Jackson St., will mark its 10th anniversary in its new building from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.There will be raffles, refreshments, a collection for the food cupboard and sign-ups for the “Every Hero Has a Story” summer reading program. The reading program begins Saturday and continues through Aug. 3.Church will host block partyOak Hills Christian Church, 113 Township Line Road, at the corner of Old Plank and Township Line roads, will have a block party Sunday on the church grounds.The festivities will begin with a worship service at 10:30 a.m. Area praise bands will play Christian music from 11:15 a.m. to 8 p.m. There will be free food and a bounce house for children.The church will collect nonperishable food for the local food bank. Donations will be accepted but are not required for admission.Preschool taking fall applicationsPENN TWP — Nixon Preschool, 334 Airport Road, is accepting students for fall 2015.Three-year-olds will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
