John P. “Jack” Gloeckner
John P. “Jack” Gloeckner, 84, of Allison Park passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday.
He was born July 8, 1934, in Pittsburgh.
John retired after working for 37 years as a millwright for Local Union 2235.
John proudly served in the U.S. Army.
He was also a member of the Pittsburgh North Hills Harmony Line Chorus for many years.
He was the beloved husband for 54 years of Margaret (Peggy); loving father to Robert (Janet) Riemenschneider of Louisville, Ohio, William (Roseanne) Riemenschneider of Acme, Pa., and James (LaJeanna) Gloeckner of Fruitport, Mich.; grandfather of Terri Jo (Joseph), Bobbi Jo (Matt) and Larissa; great-grandfather of Riley, Hunter, Rylee, Cagney and Colton.
He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Elizabeth Buzard and Mary Jane Steigerwald.
GLOECKNER — A memorial service for John P. “Jack” Gloeckner, who died Friday, July 27, 2018, will be announced later and will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, 5825 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.Memorial contributions are suggested to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh or First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown.
