Galante

Kathleen Ann Gliebe Galante, 70, of Butler, passed away at her residence on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023.

She was born April 12, 1953, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert and Florence Kiczek Gliebe.

Kathy graduated from Magnificat High School, Class of 1970, and Kent State University.

She worked with Nationwide Insurance for the majority of her career, but her greatest passion was being a mother.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church.

Recently, she became a member of the Master Gardeners of Butler County, which was her favorite pastime. She also volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America and the Butler YMCA swim team.

She is survived by her son, Matthew Galante of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Jeanne Huber (Jay) of Dayton, Ohio, and Linda McLaughlin, (Frank) of Chesterland, Ohio; two brothers, Ronald Gliebe (Debbie) of Mentor, Ohio, and James Gliebe (Valerie) of Brunswick, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.

GALANTE — There will be no visitation for Kathleen Ann Gliebe Galante, who died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Saint Angela Merici Roman Catholic Church, 20970 Lorain Road, Fairview Park, Ohio.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave., Butler.
