Albert “Rick” McKnight Jr., 68, of Prospect, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023.

He was born in Butler, on Dec. 29, 1954, to Glee McKnight and the late Albert McKnight Sr.

He was the previous owner of Trey’s Hide Away and Rick's Mobile Homes. Rick was an oldies loving, cowboy hat wearing, beer drinking son of a gun. Known for putting the Bing Bang in Boom. He was a blue collar, mobile home hauling hero who loved his local watering hole, family and friends. Rico was his name, drinking was his game.

Rick was the beloved husband of Marcie (Ligas) McKnight; father of Kaila Mertens, Trey McKnight, Brandon McKnight and Richard Nolan; brother of Patrick McKnight, Michael McKnight, Loretta Hershey, Catherine McGee and Michele Grooms; grandfather of Harper Mertens and Crue Mertens.

MCKNIGHT — Services for Albert “Rick” McKnight Jr., who died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
