Frederick L. Kocher
Frederick L. Kocher, 68, of Avon, Ind., formerly of Mars, died Sunday.
Born in Grove City on Oct. 16, 1943, he was the son of the late Eugene H. “Cappy” and K. Lucille Davidson Kocher.
Fred had been senior vice president of maintenance and engineering for U.S. Air in Pittsburgh and then moved to Indiana, where he was senior vice president for Rolls Royce North America. Later he was vice president of AAR in Chicago.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Mars United Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Walz Kocher; three daughters, Andrea Koenig and her husband, Ken, of Houston, Texas, Deanna Schoeff and her husband, Jason, of Plainfield, Ind., and Eugenia Kocher of Alexandria, Va.; grandchildren, Cheaney, Quinten and Kellen Schoeff; two sisters, Rebecca James and her husband, William, of Butler and Claudia Evans of Fuquay Varina, N.C.; and his nieces and nephews.
KOCHER — Friends of Frederick L. Kocher, who died Sunday, July 15, 2012, are invited to a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Mars Cemetery.
