Robert Jackson Jones, 42, of 625 Centerville Pike, Slippery Rock, died at 7:45 p.m. Sunday in a motorcycle accident on Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township.

Born April 20, 1965, in Grove City, he was the son of R. Jackson Jones and Karen Lorraine Cooper.

He was a 1983 graduate of Slippery Rock High School, where he played baseball.

Mr. Jones was a self-employed as the owner of R.J. Jones and Son Landscaping of Slippery Rock.

He was a member of the Center Presbyterian Church of Slippery Rock.

He was a devoted father and loving son and a hard worker.

Surviving are three children, Noelle Lynn Jones of Clearwater, Fla., and Bobbi Sue Jones and Corey Robert Jones, both at home in Slippery Rock; his mother of Clearwater; his father and his wife, Shirley, of Slippery Rock; a brother, Bart W.Jones of Black Mountain, N.C.; and his grandparents, Grady Cooper and Russell and Mabel Hogue, all of Slippery Rock.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen Magee Cooper.

"All who knew Bobby respected and loved him. His passion in life was his three children, his business and his love ones. Bob gave, gave and gave and never wanted anything in return. Bob, God be your protector. You are so missed by all of us."

<B>JONES </B>— Friends of Robert Jackson Jones, who died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. John Peterson, a retired Presbyterian pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the Slippery Rock Cemetery.
