LIFE offers elderly aid
LIFE Butler County now is providing care and services to eligible, older adults who reside in Butler County.
LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly) Butler County is a comprehensive health care and supportive services program designed to enhance the ability of older adults to live safely in their homes and communities with dignity, respect and independence.
The program is a partnership of Lutheran SeniorLife and Butler Health System that enables older adults to maintain their quality of life while living in their own home or in the home of a caregiver.
Based on an individual's need, services can include:
• Comprehensive medical care
• Adult day services
• Home care including personal care, housekeeping and laundry
• Rehabilitation therapies
• Transportation to the LIFE center and to medical appointments
• Medication management
• Meals
There is no cost to participants who qualify for Medicaid and meet the other eligibility requirements.
Some enrollees might be required to pay a monthly premium, based on financial eligibility.
The LIFE program is available to all eligible residents over the age of 60 in Butler County.
