David T. Lindsay
David T. Lindsay, 67, of Butler passed peacefully Friday at home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born Nov. 22, 1948, in Pittsburgh, the son of David C. Lindsay and Veva (Reep) Lindsay.
Dave made his living as a roofer, but his lifelong passion was bike and car restoration. There was not a better body man in town and the garage door was always open for his many friends who stopped often to chat about old times and new. He was loved by everyone whose lives he touched.
He is survived by four sons, Jason W. Lindsay and Robert D. Lindsay, both of Antioch, Ill., Christopher M. Lindsay and Dustin T. Lindsay; his fiancée, Elayne Scott, of Butler. Dave had two grandchildren, Stephanie Penick and Gage Lindsay, both of Illinois.
He also is survived by his brother, Scott and his wife, Jan Lindsay, and their daughter; one great-niece; and his loving best friend and partner in life, Karen Bopp, and her children, who loved him like their own father. Lest we forget, he will be greatly missed by “Chuckie.”
He was preceded in death by his son, David J. Lindsay, and his parents.
