Vicki L. Deitz
Vicki L. Deitz, 66, of Bradys Bend died Friday morning at her home.
Born April 11, 1949, in Lawsonham, Pa., she was the daughter of William E. and Dorothy M. (Simpson) Mortimer.
A graduate of Union High School, Vicki first worked at the Davis Cookie Co. and then for 20 years for HelpMates Inc. in Kittanning as a health aide.
On June 21, 1986, Vicki married the late Clarence L. “Jumbo” Deitz. He preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 2014.
Vicki loved to shop for a good bargain, enjoyed tending her flower garden and the company of family picnics, campfires and sitting on her front porch.
She is survived by three daughters, Heidi (Dave) Young of Butler, Nancy (Vaughn) Williams of Sharon and Mary Calloway (William Payne) of Rimersburg; and three sons, Jimmy (Tabitha) Mortimer of Bradys Bend, John (Jill) Deitz of East Brady and Bob (Beth) Deitz of Hubbard, Ohio.
Vicki also is survived by one sister, Darla Confer; four brothers, Jerry, Doug, Todd and Nathan Mortimer; 19 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Kevin Mortimer; one sister, Pam Mortimer; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
DEITZ — Friends of Vicki L. Deitz, who died on Friday, June 12, 2015, will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Pete Sapp of the Trinity Church officiating. Private burial will be in St. Eusebius Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the Deitz family suggests contributions be made to the Orphans of the Storm, 11878 State Route 85, Kittanning, PA 16201.
