William L. “Lou” Bussard, 89, of Hilliards passed away peacefully at 6 a.m. Tuesday at his home.

Lou was born June 6, 1925, in Fairview Township. He was the son of the late Ross Bussard and the late Edith Wood Lewis Bussard.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II.

Lou was an electrician by trade and had been employed at Koppers for 30 years and Witco for 10 years before his retirement. He was a Methodist.

Lou is survived by three daughters, Karen Slagle of Parker, Deborah (Thomas) Painter of Forest Hills and Cynthia Seybert of Hilliards; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Lou was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; one son, Timothy; and two sisters.

BUSSARD — The family of William L. “Lou” Bussard, who died Tuesday, March 31, 2015, will receive friends at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday with retired minister, the Rev. Robert V.
