Donald F. Christy

Donald F. Christy, 78, of Saxonburg passed away Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born July 16, 1938, in Fawn Township, he was the son of Frank Christy and June Shearer Christy.

Don was retired from the U.S. Steel Sintering Plant in Saxonburg, where he had been a metallurgical chemist.

He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sarver, a Lifetime member of West View Sportsman’s Club, Pollock Lodge 502 F&AM in Tarentum and had served as a Clinton Township supervisor for 24 years.

Surviving are his wife, Judith Morrow Christy, who he married on July 11, 1959; his daughter, Laurie (Fred) Street of Saxonburg; his brother, Garry (Margaret) Christy of Tarentum; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jeffrey Christy; his uncle, James Christy; and two nephews, Michael Christy and Kiel Boschele.

CHRISTY — Friends of Donald F. Christy, who died Saturday, April 8, 2017, will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.

Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John Porter officiating

Interment will follow in Westminster Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
