William Leland “Lee” Zier

William Leland “Lee” Zier, 89, of Cabot passed away Thursday at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia.

Born Sept. 11, 1926, in Sarver, he was the son of the late William Zier and Mabel Freehling Zier.

His passing was preceded by the passing of his wife, Lois Jean Turner Zier.

Lee served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He worked at Pittsburgh Plate Glass (PPG) in the Creighton/Pittsburgh facilities for 40 years, and he retired in 1989.

He was a member of the Buffalo Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Lodge 546.

Surviving are his son, William Jr., and his grandson, Christopher Zier, both of Moon Township.

ZIER — Friends of William Leland “Lee” Zier, who died Thursday, May 12, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Buffalo Presbyterian Church with the Rev.
