Angela R. “Mitzie” Becker, 82, of Renfrew passed away Friday at the Paramount Senior Living, Mars.

I was blessed to have Mitzie as my godmother. She was an extraordinary woman, gracious and kind. As a child, I reveled in her love and attention. As I grew older, Mitzie served as a constant in my life, always there, offering encouragement and support. I will forever hold her in my heart, cherish every memory, and miss her deeply.

Mitzie was born May 25, 1934, in Forward Township. She celebrated working at the North Pittsburgh Telephone Co. for more than 40 years, but not as much as she celebrated her retirement. During her employment, she made lifelong friends who continued to brighten her days for the remainder of her life.

Mitzie adored all animals and couldn't resist a stray dog needing a home. Always one to have fun, she loved the beach, playing cards, reading, Kentucky Fried Chicken and a cold Pepsi on a hot summer's day. She often reminisced of her days spent at Conneaut Lake with family and friends.

The lucky people who knew Mitzie were graced with her warmth and love. She was generous and compassionate, making everyone around her feel special. She lived her life as a life should be lived with love, laughter and devotion.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret. She is survived by numerous friends, neighbors and cousins, all of whom will miss her.

BECKER — Friends of Angela R. “Mitzie” Becker, who died Friday, June 24, 2016, will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church, corner of Cherry and Clark streets in Mars.
