Doris Anne Becker

Doris Anne Becker, 83, of Cabot passed away Thursday while under the care of the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia in Cabot.

Born July 6, 1935, on the family farm in Winfield Township, she was the daughter of Chester and Sarah Reardon Freehling.

Doris was a 1953 graduate of Winfield High School.

In 1955, she began a 40 year career at Nationwide Insurance in Butler, retiring in 1995.

On May 12, 2001, she married Robert Becker.

As a young woman, she was an avid golfer and snow skier. She also liked reading and traveling, particularly enjoying time spent at Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Surviving are three nephews, Eric (Mary Ann) Freehling of Valencia, Bryan (Mary Ann) Freehling of Cabot and Gary Freehling of Cabot; her niece, Debra (James) Bartley of Saxonburg; three great-nieces; one great-nephew; two great-great nieces; and five great-great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Robert; three brothers, Bernard Freehling, Chester K. Freehling and Robert Alan Freehling; one nephew, Roger Freehling; and one great- great-niece.
