Scott W. Dietrich Jr., 39, of Cranberry Township passed away Thursday at UPMC Passavant Cranberry.

Born Nov. 30, 1972, in North Hills, Pittsburgh, he was a son of Rose M. Smith Dietrich and the late Scott W. Dietrich Sr.

He was a 1991 graduate of Seneca Valley High School, a member of the Rochester Sportsmen’s Club, and he enjoyed golfing, hunting, woodworking and bowling. He loved the outdoors and his family.

He was a Catholic.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jessica L. and Jeremy Hatt of New Sewickley Township, and Cindy M. Dietrich and her companion, Shawn Manuel, of Cranberry Township; four nieces, Emily, Annaray and Alexis Hatt, all of New Sewickley Township, and Rile Scott Manuel of Cranberry Township; his maternal grandmother, Marge Hartzell of Slippery Rock; two uncles and an aunt, Henry Kaczmarczyk and Craig and Valerie Dietrich, all of New Sewickley Township; numerous cousins; and other aunts and uncles.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ella Mae and Paul Dietrich; his maternal grandfather, Richard E. Hartzell; an uncle, Jesse Dietrich; and an aunt, Paula Kaczmarczyk.

DIETRICH — Friends of Scott W. Dietrich Jr., who passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the

William Murphy Funeral Home, 349 Adams St., Rochester, Pa., where a service will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Freedom.The family wishes memorial contributions be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.
